The Stars put in a mighty effort, but come away with a lonely single point
The Dallas Stars fought hard against the high flying Minnesota Wild, outshooting them 36 to 27, but their efforts where only good enough for an overtime loss.

A point is a point
And a point is better than zero points, it keeps the Stars moving up the standings. With Nashville losing in regulation the Stars and Predators now have identical 42-27-5.
Everyone is moving up
The bad news. Other than Nashville, everyone else surrounding the Stars in the playoff push picked up 2 points last night. Vegas and Vancouver being the two teams that could upset the Stars hopes of making the playoffs, both had big wins. But the Stars are still 5 points ahead of Vegas and have a game in hand on both clubs.
Stars performance playoff worthy
The win would have been great, coming back from being a goal down twice, and outshooting the Wild 8-3 in the 3rd period set the stage perfectly for an overtime win. This would have also moved the Stars ahead of the Predators. But the most positive take-a-way was the effort, making me feel like the Stars do want to win and make the playoffs.
