It took double overtime, but the Stars did it! We continue to play deep into September.
Corey Perry gets the first and last goals of the game and that is just what the Stars needed to extend this series. Pavelski with the other Stars goal showing just how important those two additions are to the Stars who prove themselves yet again.
We need to stay calm and take each game one at a time, but that was a huge performance, almost 9 periods of hockey in 2 nights, it is fair to say that both teams have earned their day of. But the Stars will be itching to get back out there and keep the momentum going.
The ideal situation now, a big game 6 win to really make it anyone’s cup in a best of 7. Another close game like games 4 & 5 is playing with fire on a good defensive side like Tampa who also manage to get a lot of rubber to the net. But the Stars have managed that storm well, missing out on a couple of games by just a shot, this series could be looking very different, but as it is the Stars are just 2 wins from the cup, and the Lightning just 1.
Game 6 is going to be good!
