The Stars troubles continue as they fall for the 6th straight game, this time with a 4-2 loss against the New York Rangers.

The Stars fell 4-0 then managed to break their 2 game goal scoring drought with a power play goal by Hintz followed up by a goal by Cogliano but they couldn’t complete the come back and fall with a final score of 4-2.

Things are not looking great for the Stars of late, but they manage to still hold the number 3 spot in the central, Winnipeg and Nashville are closing the gap fast, but there is still a good gap between them, and the Stars have games in hand over Winnipeg that could be vital.

Dallas however have fallen a long way back from the Avalanche and Blues making it now very unlikely the Stars will be able to challenge them for the number 1 slot in the central.

Maybe this is just a good time for the Stars to have a slump, loose a bunch of games now, then sort themselves out like they did at the beginning of the season and go on the best run in the league to finish the season and throughout the playoffs…? It is a little risky, but could be just what the Stars need.
