The Stars need strong performances every night for the final 10 games with other teams hot on their skates, however, once again the Stars don’t get off to the start they wanted, they finally made it through the first minute of the game, but it didn’t take much longer for the Panthers to strike first and make the Stars work for their points.
The Dallas Stars top line of Benn, Seguin & Radulov were reunited in tonights game, and made the most of it, Jamie Benn picked up the first goal before the end of the first to tie the game.
The Stars then kept the pressure on and took the lead with a power play goal from John Klingberg. Alexander Barkov spoils the fun for the Stars on his second of the night and tied the game back up. The Stars in the final seconds of the second on a beautiful setup from Radulov take the lead back, however, on the reply the goal was disallowed as the puck entered the net just after the time ran out.
The third period however saw Dallas continue to push for their lead back and Radulov with assists from Ben & Seguin gets his first of the night and Dallas leads 3-2. Radulov once again gets a chance at the empty net, however, the Florida defense throw their stick and stop Radulov’s shot from going in the net and the referees award the goal giving Radulov his second with assists again from Benn and Seguin.
So a big night for the top line, Radulov with 2 goals and 1 assist. Ben with a goal and 2 assists and Seguin with 4 assists. A great team effort, but good to see that trio working well at the right time.
