Stars recover from slow start but fall in Denver

The Dallas Stars took on the Colorado Avalanche and once again the Stars have a very poor first period. The Avalanche score 5 in the first 20 minutes, however, the Stars challenge two of the goals and they are overturned, leaving the first period score 3-0 Colorado.

The Second period in true Stars fashion was much better as they completely turn the game around and look like the better team, they bring the score back to 3-2 with 2 goals in 44 seconds, but the Avalanche on their 5th Power Play of the night end the period 4-2.

The stars come out strong again in the 3rd and despite a few bad penalties hold the Avalanche off, then on a rather feckless power play of their own the Stars slide the puck to Seguin who gets his second of the night and gets the Stars back to within a shot. The Stars keep the pressure on and again Seguin gets a shot on net that goes in on the rebound of Benn tieing the game at 4 with just over 3 minutes left in the game.

The Avalanche however, manage to regain the lead forcing Dallas to pull Bishop in the last 2 minutes and it results in an empty netter for the Avs and gives us a final score of 6-4.

The Stars still need to fix their first period issues, however, they finally managed to get pucks on net and really control the majority of a game on the road again, unfortunately the Colorado team who were also winless in 3 games coming into this one, just wanted it more and they got the win and the Stars finish a road trip they will want to forget and recover from quickly!
