The Dallas Stars managed to put together a much better road performance against the Colorado Avalanche, and Shore & Benn scored twice in the 3rd Period to give the Stars the lead, but the Avalanche came back at the Stars and held on to take the game 3-2.
Both teams were playing on the 2nd night of back-to-back games, and it showed a little, but both Varlamov and Khudobin made some spectacular stops to keep this a low scoring game all the way through to the final period.
Shore was the first Star to get Dallas on the board with a rebound chance, then Radulov with some hard work along the boards got the puck to Seguin who fed Benn in front of the net to give the Stars their first lead of the game. The Avalanche who had won their last 3 games coming into tonight contest and who sit one place above the Stars in the standings fought back and despite a hard push with the extra man the Stars could not get back into this game.
