And the Stars do that, will a low shooting low and scoring start to the game it ends 0-0 after the first, the Stars come out stronger as always in the second and look to take the lead but a painful goal by Stamkos puts the Lightning on the board first, but Gurianov gets a step and puts it five hole to tie the game back up.

Jamie Benn gives the Stars a chance to win midway through the 3rd when he steals the puck in his own zone and gives himself a breakaway, and a patient move to the backhand gives the Stars their first lead of the night.

A late push from the Lightning sees them pull Vasilevskiy for the extra man, and after some great defending and stopping 2 of Stamkos’ one-timers the Stars couldn’t stop his 3rd and the Lightning tie it in the final 2 minutes.

The Stars robbed of their victory look the more determined team in OT and no one more so than captain Jamie Benn, who once again steals the puck, gives himself a partial breakaway and even with Seguin open to his left he puts it past Vasilevskiy once again and the Stars pick up the 2 points.
