The Dallas Stars complete their 7 September games to conclude their preseason. The Stars finish with a record of 4-3-0, 1 win came in OT and another in a shootout, showing the Stars have some work to do.
The biggest disappointment was a 6-0 thrashing in Tulsa against the Florida Panthers, meanwhile the ability for the Stars to score 3 or more goals a game seems to once again be hurting the Stars, Dallas averaged 1.5 goals per game through the preseason, something they will want and need to change for opening night against the Bruins.
Dallas were also shut out twice in 7 games, it may only be the preseason, but some line chemistry needs to form fast and the scoring depth added over the summer needs to come through along with the top players for the Stars returning to their A Game.
But as I said, this is only the preseason, and the Stars still come away with a +50% record and had lots of positives like the penalty kill and for the most part keeping the opponent off the scoreboard.
There is always work to do, but the highly anticipated season is almost here and the Stars will be ready to impress!
