About the Dallas Stars Fan Site
Thank you for visiting my site, you are here and most likely a Stars fan so we will get along!
MY STORY
Hi, I am Luke a proud Dallas Stars fan since 97-98.
Firstly, I am not Canadian, or even American but from England… I know, not exactly close to Dallas or known for hockey, but I went ice skating when I was about 7 or 8, we saw that the Guildford Flames had a home game at the weekend so me, my dad & brother got some tickets and the love of the game started from there!
Secondly, and more importantly, why Dallas? Well, starting to follow the NHL in the lat 90s and being a young kid who else?? Well, I guess maybe the Avs, but my brother decided he liked them so naturally, and to add yet another thing for siblings to fight over, selecting the stars was a no-brainer.
Again following the Stars in the late 90s my favorite player has to be Mike Modano, watching him growing up was a real treat and I would always wear #9 when I played.
Growing up I played junior hockey, then started to referee the game in my teenage years, I eventually stopped playing and focused on officiating full time. Unfortunately my day job then started to get in the way of the game and I eventually stopped officiating too. The only plus side to this is it meant I had much more time to watch my beloved Stars play.
Watching Dallas became a huge part of my life, I never missed a game, and turned a spare room into a mini American Airlines Center, I had goal horns & songs, fully customisable scoreboard, intros the lot! Watching the Stars play at mine was as close as you could get to the real deal… when you are the other side of the Atlantic.
So my love for the game and Stars I think it is fair to say is deep!
WHY CREATE THIS SITE?
It’s a good question, there are some really good news and blogs out there for Stars fans to follow, and the Dallas Stars themselves have fantastic content and info on the Stars so why create this site? I want to create something that is focused on the fans, I want to share my views and thoughts on the Stars, no disrespect to any official or unofficial coverage, but sometimes you watch the game or read something and key information is missed or the wrong things are focused on.
Now I don’t for one minute think I can put all this right and get everything right myself, but I want to give my opinions and my thoughts and what I miss will be covered elsewhere, and what is missed elsewhere I will cover. At least that is the plan!
I also don’t believe there is one truly central point for Dallas Stars Fans to come to get all the info they need, maybe not on day one, but eventually I would love to give fans everything they want in one place.
SUMMARY
So to make a short story long… that is a little about me and my site. I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to speaking with you as the Stars continue to work their way back to the top.
I would love to hear you are story, so please feel free to add comments below or if you ever need a hand or have any questions or suggestions feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Why is Janmark not listed on the team roster on the official website?
That’s a good question Millard. The Stars signed Janmark to a 1 year deal just a few weeks ago I can only assume it has not been updated. I love the way Janmark plays and he has good chemistry with Spezza, if Spezza has a bounce back year like he expects then both he and Mattias could have a great season. Janmarks deal saw his worth increase dramatically, his contract is worth $2.3 for the 2018-19 season.
I just found your site,
It looks great,
Thanks for your efforts, I hope to be a regular visitor
Thanks Buffy!
We are always working to improve the site and bring more to Stars fans, now we have secured our playoff spot we hope to bring much more to the site. Be sure to tell you friends about us, we are also on youtube, facebook & instagram 🙂
